Keya 7-year-old Seattle startup that offers a mobile auto repair service, has shaken off another competitor with the acquisition of Your mechanica Silicon Valley startup founded in 2012 that also offers repairs.
YourMechanic will add more than 350 technicians in 30 states to Wrench’s network. The company had raised more than $40 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz and SoftBank, and was a Y Combinator startup in 2012.

“By welcoming the YourMechanic ecosystem into Wrench, we’re expanding what was already the largest mobile vehicle service network in existence,” said Wrench’s CEO. Ed Peterson said in a statement.

Wrench acquired several companies including Lemon Squad; Fixed ; and the Otobots.
Wrench landed an investment from Bridgestone last year following a $20 million raise in 2019. Other backers include Madrona Venture Group, Tenaya Capital, Vulcan Capital, Alumni Venture Group and Arnold Venture. Group. The company employs around 325 people.
